San Francisco, CA: New Documentary-Families Reuniting

San Francisco, CA….Says Ginger Gentile, Director and Producer of the Award Winning Documentary, Erasing Family “My goal is to get 1 million people to watch the film by Valentines Day 2022–that could represent hundreds of thousands of reunifications.”

Thousands internationally have seen this riveting documentary about several families and their journey towards reunification with their alienated, and also estranged children since its introduction three years
ago. Conferences and both private and public showings have permitted so very many to see and also hear some of the film’s participants join in valuable Q&A.

The Erasing Family team is the same behind Erasing Dad (Borrando a papá, Argentina 2014), which made family bond obstruction front page news to drive legislative and court reform in Argentina. It combined the story of fathers fighting to see their children with the testimony of professionals who confessed how they do everything to keep families apart in the name of profit. The expose of court corruption and discrimination caused the film to be censored in Argentina, but people distributed the film via DVDs and the internet. The impact was huge: public opinion now fathers separated from their children as victims of institutional violence.

Now used in university programs, this film has also been part of education for judges in the supreme court of Costa Rica and other courts throughout the region. Most importantly, the film reunited families via court decisions and the actions of young people who saw the film and were inspired to reconnect with their parents.

The documentary Erasing Family exposes that while children wish for more time with both parents, state legislatures are not passing legislation to make joint custody the default due to lobbying from special interest groups and state bar associations. Ginger Gentile, the Director of Erasing Family Importantly, too, the movie has recently made its debut at the Department of Counselor Education in the University of Louisiana, Fayetteville.

It is now available for universities internationally for $750 which includes a university license and a live Q&A with Ginger. Individuals are able to stream the film on Tubi, Itunes, Amazon, Youtube etc.
